If you are interested in learning to draw or paint using watercolours, or even if you already have some experience and want to improve your technique then this is the course for you!
You can take the course in the afternoon twice a week, and in the morning you can attend an Italian language classes. However it is possible to sign up for just the Art Course without a good knowledge of Italian as the classes can be taught in English or French if necessary.
It's a small class; some students draw while others paint watercolours. The teacher is a Florentine painter and engraver with twenty years experience. The first day of the course he will conduct short, individual interviews and together you will decide if it is better to study drawing or watercolour. At the beginning of each lesson the teacher will give you the necessary materials, which are included in the price and this eliminates the need to walk around Florence with heavy and cumbersome art supplies.
Are you fascinated by Italy's magnificent cultural works? Then the course on the History of Italian Art will enable you to understand its history and social background. The course is designed to show, by means of slides and guided visits, the development of art in Italy in relation to the rest of Europe and offers you an introduction to the most important artistic styles (Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque). You will become acquainted with the most important works of artists such as Botticelli, Leonardo, Raphael and Michelangelo while learning about the most significant historical and social events that accompanied them.
